Ministers of the Congregation

Pastor Jim Cassidy has served the congregation since December of 2006.  He was converted in college by the grace of God and sensed an immediate call to the ministry.  After graduating from Westminster Theological Seminary in 2002 he accepted a call from the OPC congregation in Johnsown, PA where he was ordained to the gospel ministry.  Pastor Jim is a Ph.D Candidiate at Westminster Seminary writing on Karl Barth's theology of time and eternity, seeking to offer a biblical and Reformed critique.

Rev. Jeffrey C. Waddington has served as the teacher of the congregation since January 2008 when he was called and ordained.  Rev. Waddington is a graduate from Westminster Theological Seminary and is currently a Ph.D candidate at Westminster in Historical and Theological studies.  The subject of his dissertation research is the apologetics of Jonathan Edwards.

Elders of the Congregation

Elder Jesse Denton has served the congregation for many years - in fact since the 1940's!  Jesse served in the armed forces during World War II and has served as the chaplain for the local fire department until his recent retirement.  Jesse and his wife Mabel (a charter member of the OPC!) remain actively involved in the life of the church

Elder Jerry Sisto is the newest member of the session.  Raised in Brooklyn, NY he was converted at a young age through the ministry of a local youth group.  Since then he has served in many different capacities in various churches throughout the region.  He came to an understanding of the doctrines of grace through the ministries of John MacArthur, R.C. Sproul, James Boice, and - he will tell you - simply through reading his Bible.  He lives in Clinton with his wife and three children.

Deacon of the Church

Deacon Elmer Mance and his wife Marynann have been with Calvary Church since 2009.  Elmer is an engineer by trade, and when he's not hanging from bridges conducting inspections, he enjoys ministering to our elderly folks and widows.  He is also very active in the church's nursing home ministry.  Elmer and Maryann have 5 children.
